Food safety compliance the easy way

RMONI wireless monitoring technology enables SPAR store owners to comply with food safety legislation in a cost-efficient and time-saving manner. Instead of having to perform manual measurements, the system continuously tracks the temperature inside all cold storage units throughout the supermarket.

Compliance - a time-consuming activity

Spar shop“In order to comply with food safety regulations, the temperature inside refrigeration and frozen food units needs to be inspected on a regular basis,” says Manu Suffeleers, Commercial Director at SPAR Lambrechts. “Performing manual temperature measurements is a time-consuming process, especially when you realize that a SPAR shop easily has at least fifteen to twenty of these units. Entering all of this data into reports for food authorities creates a substantial additional administrative burden.”

An easier way of doing things

Spar shop - measuring“RMONI’s wireless monitoring system provides us with a user-friendly, cost-efficient, and time-saving alternative to this. It uses sensors to permanently monitor temperature inside the cooling units. Temperature data is automatically sent to a central server and can be easily consulted by store owners via the Internet. The system also generates ready-to-use reports for food authorities, and sends out alerts via email or SMS in the event of refrigerator malfunction.”
